Dr Ronald Mallett has already built his very own time machine and will have satisfying test results in the next 10 years. The article is in Greek:

Time-travel article [tech.pathfinder.gr]

I believe this is great news but there are several dangers. What if different dimensions do exist and the time-traveller ends up in the year 1940 of another dimension where there is no Hitler, no WWII no nothing. All of Earth is under the Roman Empire and Roman Catholicism is the only religion in the world (sounds good!! :p ).

Armando! Naughty, naughty - to post this sort of thing during Western Holy Week!

I'll go with that if you mean the TRUE Roman Empire (i.e. ἡ Βασιλεία τῶν Ρωμαιῶν), with the Queen of Cities (Κονσταντινουπολις) as her capital... and if by 'Roman Catholicism' you mean the same thing that the Arabs mean when they speak of the 'Rum Katolik' Church (i.e. that of the Ρωμαίοι)!

Meanwhile, Happy Flowery Sunday to you! biggrin

You ever come across anything like time travel?

I prefer Uncle Rico's time machine, personally. 1982 was a good year. Coulda taken State.

Okay, a world that Constantinople is the center of the world and everyone is Orthodox?! Okay, THAT was a scary thought!

All of Earth is under the the Kingdom of Heaven, and Jesus is the only King (sounds great!!).

Until Mallet publishes his findings in a peer-reviewed journal, I will write him off as a kook. Has he tried his hand at cold fusion yet?

Forget it !! It will never work !! Passports are only good for 10 years. So he could not go into the future longer than 10 years. Visas are now $100. How many visas is he going to need? And even if he does go into the future the U.S. Dept. of Immigration will not let him back into the country. And the Dept. of Homeland Security would have a field day with this guy !!!
