Housing Project Update
On this special day of Clean Monday I extend my best greetings for a blessed Lenten season to all who seek the fruits of the Holy Spirit. I beg of you to share our housing project with your local church, women/youth organizations or place of business for a tax deductible donation especially during this Holy Lenten Season when we think of helping others. They can view all information about our work:

With the help of the Metropolis of Boston and especially the Virginian Farah Foundation, $55,000 was transferred for the Taybeh Orthodox Housing Project to match funds that were previously collected of $35,000 with a total of $90,000 raised since 1999. We are thankful to all who supported building homes for Christians in Taybeh and are truly sorry we broke down on the thank you notes after Jan 2005.
Finally after so many years of fundraising we broke ground and started building the first twelve homes on Aug 1, 2005. We have roofed six homes and are short of $48,000 to roof the other six homes for complete skeleton structures for twelve families.
Financial Reports can be sent by request and a complete audit of the financial records will be conducted when the homes are complete. I am still trying to seek the blessing of the new Patriarch Theophilos III who prayed with us on Meatfare Sunday and had lunch in our home. He said, Maria, you know you need the blessing of the synod not mine.
Solidarity Appeal:
You can help by participating in the Holy Land Housing Campaign.
Adopting more than one of the following options will build housing sooner.
The $1 Campaign: Annually pass a tray during Christmas and Easter Church services to help Taybeh.
The $1,000 Option: Raise $1,000 at your church towards the cost of one house. Fifty churches can build one home which costs approximately $50,000.
The Lenten Appeal: Adopt Taybeh as an annual almsgiving project or missions project during Great Lent.
