Christ is in our midst!

It's been sometime since I posted. I have been reading the news and many critics and Jewish sympathizers are claiming that the Jews were not responsible for Jesus' death. This has been the crux of the debate and controvery. Mel Gibson's interview with Diane Sawyer said that "it was our sins that put Christ to the Cross"(I am paraphrasing what I heard). That is an acceptable answer. However, who historical condemned Him and approved of His Crucifixion?
A) The Jews of His time
B) The Romans
C) The state of our fallen world reality
E) All of the above

Mel may have sounded that he avoided mentioning the fact that mainly the Jews and the Romans were responsible according to the biblical account.
At any rate, there seems to be revisionists that want to portray the innocence of Jews and to shift the blame mainly upon the Romans. The New York Roman Catholic Cardinal Edward Egan wrote to parishes to stress Jews were not responsible for the crucifixion of Jesus.
"He gave His Life for us," Egan wrote in a column to appear in next month's issue of Catholic New York. "No one took it from Him. This is, and has always been, Catholic doctrine."

I get the impression of double talk by the Cardinal and trying to be politically correct to appease the Jewish critics of the film. Your input & feedback is welcomed

Huh? Do You think "the Jews" are responsible? Or are we all? The idea that the Jews bear responsibility seems sub-Christian to me...Granted, the Pharisaical leaders may have said "His blood be on us and our children", but Our Blessed Lord said on the cross "Father forgive them, they know not what they do." That absolution is enough for me.

I've never understood why this question has been debated for so long. Scripture clearly tells us that Jesus was crucified by Roman soldiers following the orders of Pontius Pilate, who had yielded to pressure from those Jews who rejected Jesus as their Messiah and demanded his death.

Was not the mission of Christ to reconcile God & man , the ultimate sacrifice, His only begotten Son ?

The sins of the mankind pronounced sentence.
