For the deceased and the ill I often send them a Mass card from the Passionist Missionaries. I have several cards, and just mail in the name and a donation when needed.

Are there any other churches or societies that offer similar? Is this a practice in the Eastern Churches too?

You can support ur own Holy Resurrection Monastery in this way.

They offer a very nice card - and they also take very seriously the privilege of praying for the living and the dead.
