Hold on, you still have to pass the "pyrohi" test, and it is much harder than you think. Spell it wrong or pronounce it wrong and you may be "forwarded" to the nearest Ukrainian Eparchy! biggrin

Not only is the Pirohi test hard, but the essay on proper rolling technique is even harder. Remember, no instant mashed potatoes....
The baba giving my test and I argued so badly over technique that she sent me over to the Orthodox Parish and forced the priest to chrismate me.

John, Christ is Risen!

Conngratulations and Many Years!

In the Risen Christ,
Father Anthony+

Everyone baptized into Christ should pass progressively through all the stages of Christ's own life, for in baptism he receives the power so to progress, and through the commandments he can discover and learn how to accomplish such progression. - Saint Gregory of Sinai

The "pyrohi test" is, indeed, a good indicator of "Ruthenian-ness." The real test, however, is this:

Look behind the crucifix hanging on your living room wall (...you do have one there, right??)... what do you see "sprouting" from behind it? If it's a palm leaf, well, you've got a ways to go yet, my friend; if it's a pussywillow... welcome home!

Feels good doesn't it? I remember when I was formally changed over. Ahhhhh, the memories!
