Help, can anyone give me some basics for substitutions for eggs and oils in cooking and baking during the fasting and abstinence periods.

Thanks,

Terry

Check the Lenten Cook Book from Saint Nectarios Eastern Orthodox Church in Seattle, Washington. It may also be available from Light and Life. Incognitus

Dear Terry:

If you can stand the extra carbs, try applesauce.

Yours,

hal

Thanks for the suggestions. I checked Light and Life and they do have the cookbook available.

When using applesauce, would they be in equal proportion to what they are replacing?

Again thanks to you both for your suggestions.

Terry
