Glory to Jesus Christ!

I encourage everyone who wants a Old Church Slavonic font for their PC which is useful and free, to download the "Orthodox" font available from the following site:

http://www.orthonord.orthodoxy.ru/fonts/orthodox.htm

Note that the above page is in Russian. For those who can't read Russian, the links to download the fonts are about 3/4 of the way down the page, and are in hypertext. I downloaded the middle one, in TTF format. Its specific URL is:

http://www.orthonord.orthodoxy.ru/fonts/orthodox/ort_tt.zip

The other two are in "Type 1" and in TTF for Windows 3.x.

A nice thing, is that not only are the old Cyrillic font and all the abbreviation and stress marks included, but also there are a few graphics including a Greek cross (+), a three-bar cross, and more.

In Christ,

+Тимофей, рабъ Божій

It didn't work for me. I just got gibberish after the download.

Timothy,
It seems their site is not responding, I'll try again later.

Dmitri,
You may need to have cyrillic fonts loaded on your computer for the browser to recognise the coded information. On a similar note, I am using Netscape 4.62 and the cyrillic characters Timothy writes in his messages are display merely as ????? ??????? ?????? etc. On russian sites, I have no problem with the cyrillic, only on Byzcath.org....Hmmmmmmmm
Computers these days, can't figure them out, can't live without em! wink
