Check out the website. Women "priests" (termed Mother) and deacons. They also want to get rid of the term marriage and call it "covenant mystery." It sounds like a rogue bishop ordained someone about 100 years ago and this is what we get.

RUN when you see the name of Rene Vilatte anywhere... I think this paragraph pretty much summarizes the OCCA, from http://www.no-nukes.org/viapacis/may03richardcleaver.html "The OCCA is an Orthodox Christian jurisdiction originally organized in Wisconsin in 1892 as an English-speaking alternative to ethnic Orthodox churches. Its first communities were Belgian immigrants who had no French-speaking clergy and did not accept the dogma of papal infallibility as defined at the First Vatican Council in 1870. The first Archbishop, Rene Vilatte, was consecrated in Colombo by three bishops of the Syrian Orthodox Malankara Church of India. (Our own Brian Terrell was baptized in one of the churches Archbishop Vilatte founded, near Green Bay; it is now a Roman Catholic parish.)There are both Western-rite and Eastern-rite congregations. Unlike the Roman Catholic Church or other Orthodox jurisdictions, the OCCA ordains women and celebrates the union of same-sex couples. Its clergy are unpaid and most parishes own no church buildings of their own, instead worshiping in homes or borrowed premises." -- John

That is one of the most masculine looking women I've ever seen (and I'm including Janet Reno in the list). Scary!

It's amazing how the modern Western heresies slip into every crack and corner of anything even close to Christianity. Just when i think i've seen it all, boom!
i'd also add that these people need prayers, too. May God have mercy on these folks.

I have been following up the claims of the bishops in this cult to valid orders. Seems the weak link with this lot is with Bishops in India. I think there are many of these home kit type churches around all claiming one or more links to the genuine churches. It does seem a bit like adults playing at dress ups.

If they give one person hope or bring one person closer to God, then they are doing His work. God bless them in their ministry.

Dear Friends,
At one point, I studied a number of these groups and got to know some of their ministers.
They are quite fascinating - everything from the "Celtic Orthodox" who canonized "St John Scotus" of the ninth century and "St Morgan of Wales" (who, as it turns out, is none other than . . . Pelagius!) to the Rene Villatte people who have canonized "St Afthimios Olfiesh" and "St Theophane Noli." Then there is the Evangelical Catholic Church, a Lutheran-based group, who allow their clergy to commemorate Martin Luther . . .
The group noted above commemorate not only Catholic and Orthodox saints, but Anglican commemorations as well . . .
Cheers,
Alex
