Greetings to all. It's good to be back.

St. Michael's Ukrainian Catholic Parish in Grand Rapids, Michigan is celebrating it's 50th Anniversary on Sunday, November 11th with a special liturgy at 10am followed by a dinner at 12 noon.

The Ordinary for the Roman Catholic Diocese of Grand Rapids, Bishop Robert Rose will be in attendance. Unfortunately Bishop Michael Wiwchar CSsR, apostolic administrator of the Saint Nicholas Eparchy of Chicago can not be with us for this festive event.

Please feel welcome to join us. If anyone needs directions or further information please feel free to email me.

With Peace and Best Wishes to all!
Stefan-Ivan

Brother Stefan-Ivan, may your parish community have a MOST WONDERFUL celebration! May your brothers and sisters sing, dance, and feast at 50 years of loving community. Whether the eparchial bishop is able to be present or not is not the issue. It is the people of God celebrating their love for God and for one another. Have a great time, and in your toasts, please remember the rest of us Byzantine Christians who think you are just wonderful.

Love and blessings to you and your Church family!

Stefan-Ivan,

Interesting--my mother lives in Kalamazoo and once I have visited your parish, when Bishop Michael came I think in 1999 or 2000! There was an ordination of a deacon at that event. My stepfather and mother, both non-Catholics, enjoyed the service even with all the Ukrainian (they are both Germananic Lutherans!)

Best wishes!

anastasios
