Oh boy. We leave on Friday for a two week long trip to Costa Rica and I haven't got a single thing packed yet.

I am so far behind I think I am ahead.

I need not to read message boards but to pack. I must pack. But I don't want to pack. I hate packing. So much to do, so little time.

I'm off to pack.

Someone ... kick me in the rear and make me start packing.

Dear Carole,

Forgot to mention, hi speed should be available in your hotel maybe. Quite a few American companies now have call centers in Costa Rica for Spanish accounts. Can you beg, borrow, or steal a laptop? biggrin

Dear Carol,

For what it is worth--I hate packing too. I hate thinking about what I need and getting it together. frown

I don't know if this is a vacation trip or not, but if you are staying in a hotel, there might be a computer room where you can log on to us! If not, you may be able to find an 'internet cafe' in town to drop us a line from!

In any case, have a safe and wonderful trip!

Alice

P.S. You said that you are leaving on Friday, and today is Tuesday. You have plenty of time for last minute packing--if you are like me, who always does it the night before. :p

I know what you mean...Packing is not my favorite thing to do...nor is unpacking..

May the angels keep you safe as you travel.

Unpacking? Oh NO! I hadn't even thought of the unpacking!!!

I will be taking my laptop as the respository for all of my digital photography. Hopefully I'll have access to the Internet. Maybe I'll find a wi-fi hotspot in the rainforest canopy! biggrin

Our flight leaves at 6:30 AM on Friday so we have to get up at 3:00 to be at the airport by 4:30 or 5:00 AM. UGH. I am not a morning person.

But that means I have to have everything packed by Thursday mid-day so we can go to bed at 8:00 so we get some sleep before we leave.

Now I remember what I hate about travelling. All the prep-work!

You can only stow away if you won't make my carry-on weigh more than 40 pounds! biggrin

I have packed a huge bottle of 50 SPF sunblock. No worries about me getting burned. I am very cautious about that! wink

I went to Costa Rica a few years back. I stayed in Costa Verda. Very nice place I might add! Don't forget there are many good RCC's you can go to for Sunday Liturgy. biggrin

Dear Carole,

Yes, please go and pack and forget about this Forum!

I can't stand it when people post so much on the Forum to the detriment of important things in their lives . . . wink
