Hi folks,

How is everyone out there? I have been quite ill and pretty much laid up in bed for close to 3 weeks. I have chronic health problems, but this is worse than usual.

I'm still in bed, but am working with a remote mouse and long corded keyboard.

I "took a break" from the forum, but am glad to be back.

What's happened out there in Byzcath land recently...anything major I missed?

Blessings.

Unity,

Welcome back, sorry to hear you haven't been well. My prayers for your quick return to good health.

Let's see - the 10 cent update. You're going to have to really dig to find any threads (other than in the Prayer Forum and, Lord knows, we should probably be praying there over one or both of these subjects) that relate to a topic other than:

(1) whether the Ukrainians will have a Patriarchate in this lifetime; or,
(2) Mel Gibson's "The Passion"

Good luck. Oh, take the poll on "How Many Patriarchates Should the Byzantines Have" in Town Hall (he urged shamelessly biggrin ). And get well, soon smile .

Many years,

Neil

Thanks for the prayers and update Neil....

I am reading the postings of current relevance, but unfortunately must excuse myself from voting....I am as yet a poor, ignorant Latin, who durst not have opinions on such subjects of which I am as yet barely acquainted...(I say to my shame)

Maybe next year, if there are votes on subjects of note,I will be ready....

Dear Unity,

I hope the fact that you are getting back on the web is a good sign that you are getting better.

By Pascha, I bet you will be out of the bed, and moving about freely. It seems to me that quite often during this season, I also end up with problems (actually got them at Christmas this year). I look to the Cross for my relief. Maybe, by God's grace, your relief will also come with the lifting up of the Cross.

God speed you along to a complete recovery.

Pani Rose

Thank you, Rose....

Yes, I do think illness during Lent is a special blessing as we connect it to the cross.....I'm on the mend, and hopefully will be able to attend the glorious Paschal liturgy....we have a friend who is to be initiated into the Church this year (confirmation and Eucharist).

I hope you will also be well....
