Thanks, Porter. The picture is a little grainy; I have some others that aren't but am mentally retarded when it comes to using computers so I can't get them on the internet...they're like "stuck" in this good-for-nothin' folder!

It's cool putting faces to yall's names!

I just realized, by accident of course, it you scroll down past the map, the names with the blue link are down there so we can see everyone who is joined.

I agree with our TEEN it is fun and here is the link for conveinence http://www.frappr.com/byzcath .

Now I really feel silly, and of course y'all have propably figured this out. If you just click on the marker, it brings up the name of the person it belongs too. Oh well, learn something new every moring biggrin

Great idea, Rose.

I'm on there now smile

Anhelyna,

I've deduced that papawl means grandfather, but I'm at a loss as to the language it which it does so (grandmother is mamawl in the same tongue, for those with an insatiable need to know minutiae); I have some suspicions that, rather than being in a different language, it may reflect use in a particular Southern US regional dialect.

We've got about 60 members in Michigan, including a few in the Warren area, but only 1 who identifies himself as in Warren - a gentleman who has never posted. There are quite a few Melkites in that area (we have a parish there), but none who post here, of whom I'm aware.

Many years,

Neil, hoping more will sign onto the map (maybe even the man wearing the paper bag biggrin )

PS - love the photos; I don't understand why the photo of my brother and friend, Roger, doesn't show when I hit the "View All Photos" link, altho it does when I hit his individual location - if anyone figures that out, let me know please.

Since the Unofficial Directory has become sadly out-of-date and seemingly isn't being maintained any longer, I am going to make an effort to create an Eastern and Oriental Church Directory (Catholic and Orthodox) on one of these. Be patient, it's going to take a while; I'll provide a link later today and keep you advised of my progress.

Many years,

Neil

Dear sister Pani Rose,

I thought to add also my name to that map. A prayer and a photo with my mother and this soul. This forum means much to me and I haven't enough words of gratitude for the person who invited me here or for the persons who prayed or pray for me and my family.

May God bless you all and have mercy on us. His will be done forever.

In Christ, Marian +

Perhaps the admin. could post this link somewhere prominent on the website so all can see it without having to open this thread. I know nothing if you are allowed to publically display the link on the website. But it would be great if everyone participated!
