I know where you and I got sideways personally. I made a statement that looks for all the world as though I was or am accusing you directly and personally of heterodoxy, or teaching heterodoxy.
I did not mean that to look so patently like a personal accusation and I am posting this in a clear place where people can see that I do not accuse you personally of heterodoxy.
I happen to think that there is a dangerous bit of fuzzyness entering the eastern confessions concerning the Mother of God, and I do not think that an emphasis on a faulty English transltion like "Birthgiver" [It really is very poor English construction.] is going to help matters so I respond strongly against its use.
I hope this satisfies you and clears the air between us, for I mean you no personal harm at all.
And I beg Father Anthony's forgiveness for tacking this note in this particular section but I want it to be seen by those who would have seen my original remark, which is no longer there save in memory, but that is enough to warrant the explanation and apology.
