I belong to a church in the Archpatriarchy of Pittsburgh. We have been hearing of new litergical books that have been on hold for a couple years now. Any idea when these will be out for parishes to buy?????

Or where can I get one personally?

Glory To Jesus Christ!

Are you a Ukrainian Byzantine?
If so, the new, "The Divine Liturgy: an anthology for worship" is published and available in Canada:

The Metropolitan Andrey Sheptytsky Institute Of Eastern Studies:

It is less expensive through St. Elias:

you will have to email them for info.

I hope this helps anyone else, if not you, Stivvy. Many Happy Years! - Gv. cool

You are Byzantine Ruthenian Rite. You are inquiring about our new liturgy books that contain the new translation of the liturgy of St. John Chrysostom. The Ukrainian book mentioned above does not apply to you. These elusive books are printed but being held onto until it is felt by this mysterious bunch that the cantors are well versed in the changes before they release the books to the general public or there will be chaos. I look for these books to be released for public consumption before the Great Fast '07.

John of the 3 bar cross:

I have yet to see any printed new translation books(just the one I printed from PDF for Oct 04). You said holding on to them for Cantor's to familiarize themselves. Well maybe they forgot about the Last Frontier--Alaska. Big John
