We do seem to have some problems that are not religious, but organizational and administrative.
And such action would free up resources to reach those who long for our spirituality in areas that are struggling now. There are parishes also that could thrive under the proper care. I think rather than discuss in the abstract about what might happen if we actually paid more careful attention to our calling that we instead pay careful attention starting with Aug. 6th and then see what happens.

Don't make me laugh. I was watching last night with a friend and two notes that I sent to you didn't last 10 minutes before they were removed. You're far better at shutting things down than building things up.

If I could be sure that is all that Deadwood Dan was suggesting, I might concur, but even then it would depend heavily on circumstance and other conditions of location.

I thought this conference was to build on what we have...not to import a ex- Protestant Evangelist to tell the numb heads how to be.

He never even bothered to ask about the status animarum before shooting off his mouth about statistics...for instance.

Not somebody I would want to follow.

Very glad Parma has him.

Take it up with the moderators. I'm not a moderator. They are probably as sick of your foolishness as I am. I have no power at all to monitor your posts.

Actually Mary,

I am very happy that Parma has him too.

Unfortunately due to the limitations of electronic communication, you actually have no idea what Dan is like in real life.

Your loss, I would rather have a congregation of people like Dan who want to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ, rather than a congregation of caustic bitter complainers.

BTW... your Christian witness is absolutely stunning. I can see Jesus shining through your insults.

Please... don't go away angry... just go away.

John,

Thank you my dear friend. I'm thankful that you are in our Church and someone with whom I almost literally stand shoulder to shoulder. I'm so thankful for an increasingly crowded Church. I hope will have a wall to wall standing congregation soon. The Lord is leading us in that direction.

Now, the Lord in His mercy is guiding us to help the entire eparchy. Prais His Holy Name.

Actually John...I have been watching Carson Daniel for some time now, but not on any Catholic sites. In fact I didn't know he WAS Catholic till I came over here.

He seems to speak out of several mouths and some of them are Protestant and some are gnostic, and his "grasp" of the Catholic phronema seems somewhat lacking for one who has quite so much to say.

Blessings to you also John.

Dear Mary,

Do you ever give evidence for any of your claims? You call Dan a protestant and a gnostic, thereby impugning the genuineness of his faith, all based on some rumor, or some "watching" that you've done in other forums.

Have you been watching me too?

And what does any of this have to do with evangelization? If you disagree with a point that is made, can you not do it with recourse to reasoned argument rather than name-calling?

Maru,

You have slandered a true Christian unjustly.

I'm praying for you.

Maru,

Liars go to hell.

Everyone else, while I don't need to defend myself and I do believe this person, whoever she is, is off her rocker, I invite you to check out all my posts on every forum which I post. I post on Catholic Answers occassionally, on Defenders of the Catholic Faith, and in order to keep up with old friends on a United Methodist forum called ucmpage.org

Maru is a dissimulator and she probably should be removed from this forum, but that's not my business.

Dear Friends,

Please!

You are beginning to sound as bad as me sometimes . . .

This is getting way too nasty.

Can't we just agree to be civil to one another, even before the Moderators get here?

How about some apologies?

Mary? How about you first? I hope you agree with me that all Protestant Evangelists become like Dan, members of the EC Churches. If Dan were still a Methodist, I would be sorely tempted to join him in his Church . . .

And some smiles?

I suggest we get back on topic. Which is bringing people to Christ. We will do this is a authentic Eastern Way, through the Holy Spirit, through preaching Jesus Christ crucified for our Sins, and through the authentic expression of his Church in liturgy.

I also suggest that it is time to get the Byzanteens involved.

Dear John,

I would also suggest that insulting one another is not a good way to preach the Gospel either . . . wink

Everyone,

If you will notice that Maru has lost her posting priviledges for the time being. Name calling and defamatory comments are not to be tolerated by any party. This forum is to encourage posters on how to spread the gospel of our Lord in its fullness, not to tear each other down. I suggest all get back to posting as Christians in which you are called to be, and learn to evangelize, not pull apart.

In Christ,
Father Anthony+
