ON the chat room
http://www.brimsjewelry.com/Setup_ChurchBulletin.exe

here are specific questions on the different operations we have running our computers and such.

I went to their site, here is a specific link about Mac, also Linux and such. http://www.gcn.cx/help.html#25

Here is a general questions page that explains everything in there
http://www.gcn.cx/help.html

You will need to set it up from the link I have provided above.

If you use their download from the homepage, it will take you to our public chat that we use for evangelization.

If anyone needs help pm Jason, Dwight, or myself.

Pani,

There is no mac specific version. However I have the ability to run a windows emulator on my mac so I can use the software.

I have installed it, run it, registered, and all is happy and fine now...

I thought this conference was to build on what we have...not to import a ex- Protestant Evangelist to tell the numb heads how to be...
Very glad Parma has him.

Mary
WOW! I'm glad I read through the rest of this thread. Thank you, Fr. Anthony for stopping my original response!

Just a question-
"Very glad Parma has him"? To me that sounds like Mary is not in Parma. She already said she wasn't in Passaic and she lives in Pennsylvania- just where IS she a member?
Inquiring minds would like to know.

For all you other Mac Heads out there...

If you want to run the chat software, you will need Virtual PC.

But since that is only about four of us wink

I did find a Java chat client that works with both windows and mac, but Microsoft has stopped shipping java with windows.

:::sigh:::

Why can't we just GET ALONG!!!!?????

Sam:

Mary can tell us all about herself when she is given permission to get out of the timeout chair. Hopefully her story will start with an apology to Carson!

All the best,

Friends,

I go off to grade papers for a couple of hours and miss all the fun. Thanks for your support. Yep, I confess, I fell in love with the BC Church about six years ago and am very passionate about it. I hope to always be so.

I'll check the chat room at 10:30 p.m. tonight.

We do seem to have some problems that are not religious, but organizational and administrative.
Grow the parishes into bigger ones. That is what the Orthodox Churches are doing.

The OCA looks at small parishes and does a parish survey:

1. Are they declining? Is so, why? It is the pastor or is it a few parishioners who are too parochial and unwelcoming of the strangers who appear? Or is it a declining neighborhood where people fear to visit?

2. Are they static and going nowhere? Why?

3. Are they growing? Why? Is the pastor a dynamic speaker? Do the parishioners have special events to which they invite the public?

We can learn from all these situations.

All healthy parishes should be growing.

If we are not growing, we are slowing dying.

Hope this helps.

Dan,

To quote my pastor, the Church is in the salvation business, not the damnation business.

Would you say ALL liars go to Hell?

If so, then you know why I am so upset with those who mislead and lie.

Again, the Church is in the salvation business. Please remember that.

While I stick by my original quote based firmly upon Scripture I also agree with you. Repentance will bring about salvaton. Praise God. Bishops and clergy are as bound by all of this as are the rest of us.
