Glory to Jesus Christ!
At at time when the Eastern Catholic Churches are in desparate need of vehicles to get their message out there something very significant has been happening lately. My radio program, "Light of the East Radio," continues to grow on Catholic networks which broadcast on strong signals during prime time. Their signals cover huge regions.
My program will start airing in Pittsburgh on Sunday December 18, 2005 at Noon on
WZUM Relevant Radio 1590. I am also heard on this same station and on the entire Relevant Radio network live very Thursday morning at 8:00AM (EST) where I speak to a potential audience of 30 million. A Fort Wayne, indiana station has just picked up my program (WLYV 1450AM.) My program is currently aired on Ave Maria Radio out of Michigan who also puts the program on their satellite feed. My program is also heard on Maximillian Kolbe radio out of Galveston,Texas. Furthermore each program is archived on our website:
www.byzantinecatholic.com. [

My main radio network is Relevant Radio which is the largest Catholic Radio Network in the country and the only one with an endorsement by the American Bishops.
It is important to keep in mind that although I say "my program" I really see it as "ours," meaning the entire Eastern Catholic world in America. These recent significant developments are not about "Fr. Tom Loya." They are developments for all of the Eastern Catholic Churches in terms of media and they are opening the doors for some really big things yet to come. I just happen to be someone who is holding a tiger by the tail at the moment. In the spirit of last Sunday's Gospel, a great banguet in media is being prepared and the Eastern Catholic Churches are being invited. In time I hope that the Eastern Catholic world will see that we have a veritable dream come true in what is happening with "Light of the East Radio."
As a result of my radio program in the greater Chicago area (a listening audience of 13 million) the profile of Annunciation parish has been raised to great heights. It seems that everyone in this region has heard of Annunciation parish. This type of raising of the profile and standing shoulder to shoulder with the biggest is precisely how I believe the Eastern Catholic Churches have to evangelize. The time is pefect for us to get our message out there and now we FINALLY have a venue for it that is unprecedented in the history of the Eastern Catholic Churches in America and it has hardly even begun!
