I love this Liturgy! It's done annually at Holy Cross Seminary in Brookline, and it is really something to behold when it is completed...

I attended this Liturgy about 1 year ago at St Nicholas Russian Orthodox cathedral in Manhattan. It was beautiful! May it be celebrated more and more frequently. I wonder if anyone knows of any Byzantine Catholic churches that might offer it even if on the rare occasion? I'd love to commune at this liturgy.

We celebrate yearly At Holy Trinity Seminary in Jordanville as well. I have fond memories of this service, and would love to see it's use expanded!

Did anyone happen to make a copy of this when the link was working? I'm trying to find a copy of the Holy Cross translation of the Liturgy of Saint James. I've been told that it is one of the best available. Unfortunately, it's out of print and I can't even get a copy via Interlibrary Loan. Robert

Greetings, I do not have the original link posted by the other posters, but I have used this link from time to time: Liturgy of St. James [ faswebdesign.com] The page also includes other Divine Liturgies such as the Maronite Qorbono, the Chaldean Mass, the Liturgy of St. Basil, the Liturgy of St. John Chrysostom, and the Liturgy of St. Mark. Peace and God Bless

Might have posted this before, but will never forget the surprise I had once while working as a correctional officer and being detailed to stand guard at the "catholic" mass when I found a priest wearing Byzantine vestments serving the "Liturgy of St James" to inmates. He told me that he preferred the St James liturgy for use every day. I later learned this was an "itinerant" Orthodox priest without a jurisdiction that the prison chaplaincy thought was OK for the catholic services. It was actually rather nice.
