This site explains about the different Eastern Churches (Catholic and Orthodox) and is very complete:

http://www.geocities.com/pro_ortodoxia/

This site is Orthodox, but has a lot of information about theology, sacraments, liturgy:

http://www.fatheralexander.org/page18.htm

I hope it's useful

Laka, my Melkite brother,

In addition to the excellent resources that my friend, Remi, has offered, I would suggest a PM to one of our Melkite brethren who posts here - Bernardo - who is from Mexico.

You might also put in a call to Father Archimandrite Gabriel Ghannoum, BSO, or Father Eugene Mitchell, BSO, both at St. Jude Melkite Church in Miami, FL - (305) 931-6650. (If you connect w/ Father Eugene, tell him I told you to bother him biggrin ).

Many years,

Neil

Mexican and Irish Melkite,

Tahnk you so very much for the resources and contacts. This is very helpful and exactly what I needed. A certain Seor came to church on Sunday. I just completed my first semester of Spanish, but I still had difficulty speaking to him. I was trying to explain our Melkite Catholic Church to him. He said he would return on Sunday, I hope so!

God grant you both many years!
