I received a copy of the new Liturgy/Music book to be used by the congregation. I notice that it has the Lamplighting Psalms and Stichera with musical notation, but no notation for the Pripivy. I know that there was reluctance to include notation because it was feared the faithful would try to sing along with the cantors. But I cannot find notation for the pripivy anywhere else in the book. Am I missing something? Or will we always have to refer to extra sheets with notation for the pripivy?

Dear Sophia,

The notated pripivy at the Lamplighting Psalms can be found in the Cantor's Companion [metropolitancantorinstitute.org], which your cantor should have received with the new Liturgikon.

The complete pripivy for Vespers AND Matins can be found in the Cantor Verses book [metropolitancantorinstitute.org].

Yours in Christ,
Jeff Mierzejewski
