Glory to Jesus Christ!

The "informational kit" was mailed from Pittsburgh today to each parish, mission, and religious house in the Metropolitan Church.

That kit, addressed to the pastor, administrator, or superior, contains the following:

(1) the Liturgikon for the Chrysostom DL;
(2) the Liturgikon for the Basil DL;
(3) Fr. Petras' book, "Time for the Lord to Act;"
(4) the dvd/class discussion of the new translation;
(5) the 7-compact disc recording of music from the pewbook;
(6) the Cantor's Companion to the pewbook.
These materials should reach each parish no later than Tuesday, January 30 (if one may believe the USPS).

It is up to each pastor/administrator to share these materials with the cantor/cantors on his parish staff. Additional copies of the materials may be ordered by following the instructions on each individual piece (book, dvd, recordings, et al.)

The copies of the Faithful's Book (i.e. pewbook) have been delivered in each eparchial see, and the individual eparchies have contacted their pastors and administrators as to the picking up of the books needed in each parish and mission.

Prof. Thompson,

Slava Isusu Christu!

Where can we order the 7-compact disc recording of music from the pewbook? The Seminary or the Metropolia?

Thanks for all of your dedicated work on the music.

In Christ,

John

The recording can be ordered from the Metropolitan Cantor Institute. Please send a check for $10 and $3 postage/handling,
made out to the ARCHEPARCHY OF PITTSBURGH, and send it to

Metropolitan Cantor Institute
3605 Perrysville Avenue
Pittsburgh, PA 15214

and I will send it out as soon as possible. Thank you for the inquiry.

Prof. Thompson,

Glory to Jesus Christ.

I would like to get copies of the two new Liturgikons and pewbook too. Chancery says to contact you for these. What would the cost be for these books?

The new pewbook is really well done and easy to use. The glossary is appreciated (And will be useful for our many visitors)!

In Christ,

John

The Liturgikons are to be ordered from the Byzantine Seminary Press. You can find the contact information for the BSP on the front page of this website.

The "green book" ("The Divine Liturgies of our holy fathers John Chrysostom and Basil the Great") is available in each eparchy from the Chancery Office. I'm sorry, I'm not trying to play pass the buck...each of the four arch/eparchies ordered its own "green books," and each Eparchy is responsible for sales on it, at least for the time being.

If you come up completely empty-handed, then please contact me again at chantermt@aol.com, and I will ask the powers that be what is supposed to happen in this circumstance. Thank you for the kind words about the Book.

I put my hands on the new liturgikons this morning. The print is very large so it can be seen at a distance and the binding looks very well done.

The SJC one is a green hardcover book and the Basil one is a tannish color.
