This is a trailer for the DVD video propogated by the U.S. Bishops conference to inspire vocations to the priesthood. stressing it takes a real man to be a priest for Christ. I like how it shows the martyrdom of the Apostles, truly inspiring ! May God bless this work. It was produced by grassrootsfilms. if the link to the trailer does not work, go to see it at the website www.grassrootsfilms.com [ grassrootsfilms.com] http://www.grassrootsfilms.com/clip/trailer_fishersofmen_large.html

I just have to add I saw parts of the film during the International Catholic Stewardship Conference last October in Boston and it was a jaw-dropper.
I ordered a copy and since, I have not been able to watch it through with dry eyes. It is absolutely fantastic!
(And yes, it does include some images from Eastern priests)
The very best of it is that I met the producer, the director and the author of the script. They are all young men (surely not quite 30, any of the three). They are really putting their talents to work for the sake of the Kingdom.
Shalom, Memo

Looks very interesting. Think I just might order it even though it looks like its aimed at a Catholic crowd.

The video was sponsored by the U.S. Catholic Conference of Bishops and the purpose of the video is to foster vocations to the Catholic priesthood.
So, yes, it is aimed at the Catholic crowd.

At Mass in my parish this past Sunday, Laetare Sunday in the Latin Church, the rector of our diocesan seminary came accompanied by nine of the twenty-five diocesan seminarians to celebrate Mass.
At the conclusion of his homily the rector introduced the seminarians; If I remember correctly, two of them were graduates of Carnegie Mellon University, three from Duquesne University, one from Boston College, one who owned his own business and is a pilot who owned his own airplane, (all of whom had been engaged in successful careers and gave them up to enter the seminary), and two were eighteen-year-old high school graduates who heard the call and are discerning if the priesthood is right for them. A polite applause turned into a standing ovation. A most moving experience.
They are going to continue doing this at churches throughout the diocese. I find it to be an excellent idea, both for the encouragement of the seminarians and for the enlightenment of the parishes.
Please pray for all vocations, Bill
