I just read an excellent article, "Replanting a Great Tree: Learning from the Experience of the Byzantine Catholic Church," in the February-March 2007 issue of "Pastoral Music," by our own Prof. Thompson. I don't know how easily obtainable this magazine is, but the article is well worth reading. If you know any RC musicians, they probably get copies of it.

Is this publication about Roman Catholic music, or does it always feature articles about Eastern Orthodox and Eastern Catholic music too, or is it simply a publication about all Christian music in general?

It is the publication of the National Association of Pastoral Musicians, a predominantly Roman Catholic organization. The good Professor is the eastern music expert, and I believe, is on a standing committee of Eastern Church Musicians.

Is there an equivalent Orthodox Christian music organization? If there is, you would think that publication would also publish JMT's article as well an article about the Ruthenian Metropolia's new revised text and new revised music. Maybe the Journal of Eastern Christian Studies or the publishing wing of Eastern Christian Publications (Jack Figel) will publish something about the new revised liturgy and revised music.
