I received this from my cousin this morning. Something to think about.

Ouch! This one hurts!! CELL PHONE vs.. BIBLE I wonder what would happen if we treated our Bible like we treat our cell phone?

What if we carried it around in our purses or pockets?

What if we flipped through it several time a day?

What if we turned back to go get it if we ? forgot it?

What if we used it to receive messages from the text?

What if we treated it like we couldn't live without it?

What if we gave it to Kids as gifts?

What if we used it when we traveled?

What if we used it in case of emergency?

This is something to make you go*.hmm* where is my Bible?

Oh, and one more thing. Unlike our cell phone, we don't have to worry about our Bible being disconnected because

Jesus already paid the bill.

Makes you stop and think "where are my priorities?"

And no dropped calls!

In Christ,

Michael

I'd add to the list:

-States start passing laws against reading the Bible while driving

-Bible only gets good reception in some locations; need to move around the house or go outside to read it

-Bible comes with new features every 2 years

-Every Divine Liturgy, one or two people rush out to go read their Bible

-Can only read your Bible for certain number of minutes, except for nights and weekends

-Every time you get a new Bible, you need to re-program into it your list of favorit books

All kidding aside; it is very much possible, for the new phones that are also PDAs to put a Bible onto the phone and be able to read it wherever you go. Back when I used a PDA for a while, I put a few Bible translations on it. It is much harder to read that the printed version, but handy to have around.

We do, of course, have the Holy Spirit avalible 24/7 via prayer.
