Now that it is Bright Week and you can (theoretically) eat what ever you want.

What are you going to eat this week that you haven't had in a while?

I don't really count as I only followed the Traditional Fast on Wed and Fri this year during Lent. So every other day I had meat.

So, what are you going to have......

Besides chocolate! wink

My husband and I just had a slice of pizza at our favorite Italian pizzeria!

I am also craving my favorite recipe which I will be making tomorrow, which is Pasta Bolognese. YUM!

Hmmmm, we've had lots of hard boiled eggs, cheese, sausuage, and red wine. Also, lots of chocolate. I plan on making biscuits and sausuage gravy, eggs, bacon, and chicken fried steak this week. smile

Mashed potatoes with LOTS of butter, yogurt, macaroni and cheese, ice cream with hot fudge, sandwiches with mayo and cheese, hard-boiled eggs, espresso with sugar and steamed milk, fruit dipped in whipped cream or warmed caramel, berry breeze (chambord, bailey's, kahlua, and cream), banana pudding, smoothies, and buttered toast. Then there is all the Easter feast leftovers as well! I better not have my cholesterol checked this week.

I will not be eating any lentil soup, side dishes of beans, nor will I have any bean burritos.

I just had this very discussion about you guys with one of my patients who asked me about the "Fish on Fridays thing."

I told him that if you were really having no meat, no fish, no dairy, no eggs, no oil, and no wine, that eating all those high fat, high omega 6 fat, (probably high trans fat as well) foods for only 1 week straight per season that I guess it could be overlooked. Especially since next Wednesday we'll all have to start over again!

Dr's oikonomia! laugh biggrin

I said I would be eating each, but not how much of each I would eat. Besides, my list included whole grains, yogurt, fruit, and vegetables. wink

In all things, moderation. 8 weeks off, 1 week on, I'd say that is pretty moderate. smile

A grilled cheese sandwich, fajitas, cheese enchiladas, frito chili pie, a McDonald's ice cream cone, smoked brisket, and pizza sound good to me.
