We had a very fresh lamb - my wife used a proprietary spice mixture (there are some secrets, even in marriage) and it was incredible. The Ethiopians had visited the day before to pick up their lambs, and made some kind of spice transaction with her while I was outside tending to the animals that I was not privy to...but no complaints.
As usual, I was responsible for the cheese Paskha, hrudka, baked syrnyk and beet relish. And we now have a local source for Kyiv Vechernij chocolate, which was lovingly consumed. O yes, Mavrodaphne on top.
