Christ is Risen!

Recordings of most of the Divine Services of Holy Week and Pascha from St. George the Great-Martyr Parish in Aliquippa, PA are now available online in MP3 format. They are not professional quality recordings, but they are quite good. Feedback on the quality of the recordings (especially stuff to edit out) is welcome. If anyone is interested in obtaining copies of the MP3 files for playback on devices that support the MP3 format (MP3 players, iPods, most newer CD and DVD players, computers and etc.) please let me know. CDs will be made available at the cost of duplication and mailing (or you can save them to your computer and make your own CD!).

Thanks to our own Father Anthony for cleaning up the MP3 files and sending them back to me so quickly. [The missing file for Pascha Matins and Divine Liturgy is my mistake I was in a hurry to hit the road on a business trip on Saturday and didnt check them after I uploaded them. Ill fix it when I return home at the end of the week.]

Links to the the recordings can be found at https://www.byzcath.org/p/aliquippa/Holy-Week-and-Pascha.htm

I am currently listening to the Paschal Sunday DL and I love the fact that so many people are singing and harmonizing.

I also like the deacon's voice, and the use of Old Church Slavonic. cool

My first impressions are that it sounds great!!

The Liturgy is just beautiful. I was wondering if one of the voices I am hearing is of Vladik Ihnatyshyn, the seminarian from Ukraine.

Thanks

XB!

I've been listening to these for two days straight now--it's so wonderful to hear live services. I wish that more parishes would do this.

Thanks to Fr. Elias, the cantors and faithful of St. George!

Dear UC, Christ is Risen!

I believe that the answer to the last question is own admin, John biggrin .

In the Risen Christ,
Father Anthony+

Admin. John,

Enjoying the Aliquippa Great Friday Vespers. I believe the Reviljak family is at the end singing "Stradalna Mati". What beautiful singing. Now back to my Paska baking...

This is wonderful.

Why didnt they promulgate this?

Why can't we have what is ours?
