Is there a place that lists ALL the Catholic churches for the Eastern end of LI? I ask because searching the web didn't even turn up the Ukranian Catholic church that I found by accident. I'd like to know if there are any others?

[Long ] Island Seeker - I don't know if there's a regional listing on the web, but an individual Diocese's website probably generally list all, or at least most, of their Parishes. Find the the particular Maronite, Ukrainian, Ruthenian, etc. Diocese you're looking for and proceed from there. In the case of the Ukrainian Church, NY seems to fall under the Diocese of Stamford, whose Parish directory is here [ stamforddio.org] . The phone books in the DC area will generally list non-Latin Catholic parishes in a seperate section. Cheers, Marcus

To find Catholic Churches by City name, try: www.masstimes.org [ masstimes.org] Ukrainian and Byzantine Churches are identified in parentheses.

Seeker, Here are the links for Eastern Catholic Churches in NY, you'll have to scan thru them for those that are in eastern LI. Maronite - Eparchy of Brooklyn - NY Parishes [ stmaron.org] Melkite - Eparchy of Newton - Parishes [ melkite.org] Ruthenian - Eparchy of Passaic - NY Parishes [ dreamwater.org] Ukrainian - Eparchy of Stamford - Parishes [ members.tripod.com] The following are in various locales in NYC; none of these has any parish on LI (other than the Armenian Cathedral, most are parishes of Churches with only a small presence in the US) New Location - Armenian Catholic Cathedral - (former St. Vincent de Paul Parish) [ dioceseofbrooklyn.org] Contact Info - Diocese of Brooklyn - Resurrection Coptic Catholic Church [ brooklyn.axion-it.net] Italo-Greek-Albanian - Our Lady of Grace Mission [ byzantines.net] Russian - St. Michael\'s Parish [ stmichaelruscath.org] Of the other Eastern Churches with a US presence (Chaldeans, Ethiopians, Syro-Malabarese, Syro-Malakarese, and Syriacs), none have any parishes in NY, neither on eastern LI nor elsewhere. Mateusz, You're right, I forgot about the Unofficial Directory, so graciously sponsored by St. Michael's, because it was down briefly during the revamp of their website. And they included the Romanians, whom I realized at supper tonight that I had forgotten . Also, discovered by reading it that there are 2 Syro-Malankarese parishes in NY; wasn't aware of them. Finally, I can attend their Liturgy. Many years, Neil
