I like dark chocolate myself. Not a big fan of milk or white chocolate.

Dear Orthodox Pyrohy,
What is the attitude of Western Rite Orthodox to Pyrohy?
Fr. Serge Well, the Pyrohy were weird to them at first. But they realised that all non-Orthodox liked pyrohy. Even if most Western Orthodox are well, westerners... to learn from a few babas how to make some slavic food for the non-orthodox to make money. People seem to have no problem paying 8 dollars for a dozen pyrohi, hence the instant turn east and making slavic food for money.

Actually the best chocolate pyrohy are made with dark chocolate instead of pasta, and the filling of marzipan!

To my great regret, I must report that I have received the following news of Bishop Germain from a quite trustworthy source: I'm afraid these are not rumours but sad facts. I gather Bishop Germain claims he entered into the marriage purely to assist the lady to obtain citizenship and they are not living together. However, his whole credibility suffered as a result of the incident and although he "retired" his subsequent resumption of his office has failed to prevent the complete break-up of ECOF. I understand he continues with the Cathedral and a small, devoted following.
May I suggest that we all keep the Eglise Orthodoxe-Catholique and Msgr. Germain in our prayers? Fr. Serge

This has been widely known for years, but I'm happy to be vindicated. Not only does the former hierarch need our prayers, but his faithful -- and those scandalized by his behavior -- need them yet the more. ----- Western Orthodoxy Blog [westernorthodox.blogspot.com]

There's always chocolate salo. My friend I have Salo waiting for me when I get home from work today. I have been craving a thin slice on dark rye bread, maybe even with a nice shot of Nemiroff! [ Linked Image] [ Linked Image] [ Linked Image]

Subdeacon Borislov, Glory to Jesus Christ!
This brings back great memories. In Hungarian, they call it salona. Many Sundays, after Divine Liturgy, my Dad would be on the patio of the Church with several men, firing up the small charcoal grill.
Soon they had their salona dripped on rye bread, with onions & peppers. At the time, I was too young to enjoy the liquids that accompanyed it.
Thank you.
Deacon El

Dear Alex,
I share your distaste for boloney. But then again, sometimes one man's boloney is another man's kolbassy!
