Glory to Jesus Christ!

Mr. Bojko--

Do you know whose setting of the Creed is being sung on the youtube presentation? Thank you.

One should be acquainted with Mr. Oleh Iwanusiw's excellent book Church in Ruins, about what happened to the Greek-Catholic Churches in the Lemko Region of Poland.

That setting of the Creed is lovely, and the singers execute it beautifully. Do note the language which they are singing.

It is not Slavonic. It is Ukrainian (Patriarch Josyp's translation).

I definitely hear:

"...Sv'ita ot sv'ita, Boha istinna ot Boha istinna, rozhdenna, nesotvorenna, jedinosushchna Otcu, imzhe vsja bysha..."

Is that not Church Slavonic (which has many pronounciations; Great Russian, Ukrainian, Belorusin, Carpatho-Rusyn, Bulgarian, etc.)

A listen to the first line is enough to tell it is not Slavonic "...neba i zemli i vs'oho vidimiho i nevidimoho". Definitely Ukie.

Well some parts are exactly the same as Church Slavonic.
