Don't have anything hanging - well we both drive the car . Like Fr Anthony our car has a lot of plastic , so magnets don't work frown and being honest what with a holder for the phone and the Sat nav screen there isn't much room.

In the door box on my side there is always at least one Chotki

On the Sunday of the Veneration of the Cross, all the children in our parish receive a fine wooden cross (on a red ribbon) made by one of the older men in the parish. The cross given to my younger son when he was 2 is hanging from my mirror. My little one (now 5) also has a small magnetic icon of St Stephen (his patron) and he proudly says, "This is what I'm going to look like when I'm a man."

From his lips to God's ears.

What a wonderful tradition and gift for the kids from Jesus.

From our rear view mirror hangs a wooden cross, a rosary, and a set of wooden Jesus Prayer Beads. The air conditioning blows them about crazily. If someone else is not using them, as soon as the grand-baby gets in the van - he uses them biggrin Amazingly they make wonderful teethers. His grandpap makes sure he says an Our Father and Jesus Prayer everytime he hands them to him, hopefully Marley, by God's grace, will learn much sooner/quicker than we did.

My Dear Panthetria,

Always remember those dear words. Our Lord might have chosen him for sainthood...and let the demons howl.

God Bless you and yours,

Dear Our Lady's Slave of love,

Not all Americans live in California. frown Some people do walk and take public transit, which undoubtably takes us to another topic. What religious items do we carry on our person?

I for one, always have an icon or two.

God Bless,

I know the answer to this one! It's what CSLewis called Earth in his space trilogy.

Back when I had a car I always had some pussy willow under the sun visor. We do that in all of my family's cars. As for my current mode of transport... I haven't found anything I can attach to my bike, but I'm still looking.

Dear Anhelyna,

Since you are not an American, I think I better elaborate on that. When other cities were expanding their public transit, California decided to put whatever money it received from the government into highways, or as they call them: Freeways. They have no public transit...as far as I know. confused I may be wrong you know.

I believe that California has as many cars as people. Uhhh! I don't know if they're all driving around with suspended licenses a la Hilton. Hee, hee, hee! laugh grin biggrin grin

God Bless,

Zenovia

I have a little icon of Saint Nicholas, protector of travelers on my dashboard. There is also a rosary in my change compartment and a properly exorcised St. Benedict medal attached to my car keys together with a colorful charm of the Philly Phanatic (my hero!). Some years ago I had a beautiful gold-edged, genuine leather Jerusalem Bible (compact size) on the front seat. While visiting St. Joseph's Trappist Abbey in Spencer, MA someone opened my car and stole the bible. I hope that person was blessed by the Word of God.

I have a rosary I got in Rome in the storage compartment on my passenger's side, as well as a St. Christopher medal always hanging from the rearview mirror. However, when I ride with someone else I usually put the St. Christopher medal around my neck to take with me.
