Hi to all, You can download the complete 37 volumes of the writings of the Early Church Fathers from this address: < http://www.zeitun-eg.org/ecfidx.htm> They said you are welcome to use it as much as you like and post it where ever it is helpful. Rose

I saw the title for this thread, and had visions of some kind of Star Trek Transporter.

Dear Mother Sharon,
Well, their teachings are "out of this world!"

I cannot resist any longer: When I saw, on another thread, the subject matter as "The Lucan Jump" I thought that that was a dance that I had somehow missed out on in the 60's. I heard of the "Bongo Stomp" and the "Monster Mash" but never the "Lucan Jump". I apologize for my distorted sense (or lack of sense) of humor. Silouan, old monk still living in the 60's.

RoseThe Copt who runs that site runs an extensive service, I wish more people would encourage him. He is also the one who made the site I referred you all to about St. Menas, apart from another Yahoo! group he spends hours on. Peace and grace. Agape, Mina/Wak-Wak Amen, maranatha!

Oh I just love all the humor!
I did check with the aribible list before I posted the address here. They said that we were welcome to post it anywhere that it would be useful. This forum seems like it would be a place that many would want to make use of it. But anyway.

Well I hope they gave permission! (It's in the public domain) I perfer http://www.ccel.org/fathers2 , but whichever ya like (if you prefer downloading it all, I guess the place linked to in the first post is the place for you ). While we're on the topic of the Church Fathers, I sort of have a Catholic question: why do so many Catholics point to http://www.newadvent.org/fathers for Church Fathers documents? That always seemed sorta strange to me since newadvent doesn't have footnotes and such with their documents. If I was gonna link to the Church Fathers for lay people to be reading through, I'd want to give them a site with as many explanatory notes/footnotes/etc. as possible. *shrugs* Guess we each support our own PS. I'm not knocking newadvent, I've found many of the articles there helpful.
He who can without strain keep vigil, be long-suffering and pray is manifestly a partaker of the Holy Spirit. But he who feels strain while doing these things, yet willingly endures it, also quickly receives help. - Mark the Monk

Sorry for the silly question but I am not adept at computers. What will this do to my memory if I download the entire 38 volumes to my hard drive?
And just how do you get those little pics by your name?
Blessings to All! Stephanos I

Hi,
You can download them onto your hard drive, then put them on disks. After that you can delete them from you hard drive and have the space back.
And I don't remember how I got the little pic. Look for an administrators note about the upgrade.
Let's post it as a separate topic.
