Unfortunately sexual liberalism and lack of respect toward virginity for example, is rampant in young girls from East Europe too, in countries like Romania and Bulgaria (I don't know about other countries because I only have contact with people from these countries).

I don't see the Orthodox fighting for those values as the Traditional Catholic Movement does.

Juan, brother in One Risen Lord Jesus Christ,

It is not fine and a gentleman deed what you stated in the above excerpt.

I have a sister, she is Romanian. And my mother has Bulgarian and Greek roots.

You apologized in a private message, which it is not accepted. Please, assume as a man your allegation/statement and ask apology/forgiveness in public, as your post was.

I assure that there are many beautiful young girls, who observe with seriousness the Christian values et al.

Regarding the fighting for certain values and how you do not see et al., I might remind you that this is non-knowledge. There are efforts for a religious education, for catechism, the Holy Orthodox Faith is taught in the school, together with the Holy Romano-Catholic Faith or Protestant or even Muslim.

The children are urged to paint icons on glass even from the first class, they are rewarded in the Sunday of the Holy Orthodoxy, after the Divine Liturgy et al.

There are students Christian associations, which organize conferences with great Fathers from the Holy Monasteries et al.

There are great efforts against the abortion, a sin beyond all the human thinking. There are pro-life associations. Many are involved.

At Valea Plopului, only and only an example, Father Nicolae built a whole village and a community for abandoned children, for the too young girls. who were encouraged to give birth to their child, for the abused women with children et al.

Understand, my brother?

The ignorance is one of the three monsters of whom writes in Philokalia no. 1 the Saint Marcu the Ascet.

Please, understand than we cannot make generalizations. Know, brother, know.

The Orthodoxy is extremely rich and abundant in blessings. In a way is the Orthodoxy in Russia, in other way in Greece, different in Romania et al.

Personally I love a garden with various and different flowers.

Therefore I urge you brotherly not to write too easily certain words. We will answer, brother, for any word and thought.

For instance, I could not give any opinion about the Romano-Catholic Church in the U.S.A. or Brazil or Indonesia.

Because I do not know.

And even I would know all, every point and comma, I would not have the right to judge. It is needed much prayer, brother, and seriousness in our particular Christian path.

If you see a fall or sin, brother in Christ, run not with your words, but run and cover that soul with your Christian care and guidance.

Christ is amongst us and looks to us.

With this occasion, I want to ask with all my soul forgiveness to my sister Alice, to the Administrator and all the souls of this forum. I want peace with any soul, after a few days I will be in the hospital, for this health went more down than ever.

God bless you all and may your souls find peace in the front of the throne of Lord Jesus Christ.

P.S. Forgive my English.

Dear Marian,

I do hope that everything will go well for you. You are in my prayers. I really feel your pain.

I also want to explain what Juan meant since we can only form opinions from our own experiences. It seems that Juan has only met girls of a certain category from Bulgaria and Roumania. It is unfortunate, because so many girls and boys from Eastern Europe, Russia included, are being exploited by evil people. frown

I know in Greece and in Italy, there are rings that entice young people from Eastern Europe, with offers of jobs, and then take their passports away forcing them into prostitution. This is a form of slavery and it is a big problem in this world.

Now here in the states, it is not exploitation that causes promiscuity and homosexuality, but rather the influence of the media on young minds. And believe me those things are rampant...starting from age 13. It matters not what the parents and churches teach and do. Societal pressure is stronger. Most parents, having been raised in a different generation, with different influences, are unaware of what is going on. Our young people live in a different universe. crazy They all need our prayers, not our condemnation. These Hollywood and media writers imposing these values on our children should know better. So many of these talented people are Irish, and were raised with strong Catholic values.

I don't know what kind of society Juan lives in, but from the Mexicans that I see working here, they are certainly family people. The mere fact that they are getting married, says a lot to me. I believe we also have that in the Bible Belt, where religion permeates everything...thanks to the Evangelicals. But that is certainly not the case in the Northeast. Of course I'm generalizing. It seems the super rich in Greenwich, Conn. are getting married and having lots of kids...Whoopee! laugh At least they're not going to die out like the other Europeans.

God Bless,

Zenovia

Marian:

I apologized on a private message because I had no time to write a lenghty post here (the persons from this forum know that this is true, as I have written no posts since that time.), that I was preparing as an update of the conversion situation, as some have asked for updates regarding this, and regarding the experiences I had in those countries.

However, I think there is no reason to write this anymore, as matters of private life and experiences that are not exactly religious and that brought me to almost loose my soul will not provide anything good spiritualy speaking for the people of this forum.

You have somehow called me a coward, a person who refused to apologize in public, you assumed that this was the truth. I believe it was not very difficult to write me and rightfuly ask me to post a public apology. Now I feel embarrased for something that I was truly not able to do.

I apologize to the people of this forum for my unpropper, generalized, bad, unchristian comments I did.
