I have had number of people asking me to repost the Office for the Mother of God, "Searcher for the Lost" on our website. I have finally managed to do this! It is at

http://hrmonline.org/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=62&Itemid=43

I hope gradually to add the other liturgical offices I have written (and plan to write!) as I have time.

By the way, is anyone aware of others who are involved in the process of composing new Byzantine liturgical offices? I would love to collaborate, even in the writing up of some basic principles of good composition (many of which I probably violate, I'm afraid!).

Fr. bless! Excellent work.

There are several doing informal or unofficial work, such as Akathists and Canons. Yes, it would be wonderful to set up a group of some sort to discuss and share the compositions. I have written a couple of Akathists and Canons and would love to be part of such a group, most especially to learn, as you say, from those experienced so as to beautify and improve our own hymnography in the future.

Father, bless.

Will you please share with us why the monastery has a devotion to this icon? Also how you live out that devotion?

Fr. Maximos,

Would you kindly do your teaching on our being called to be 'holy', that we are holy. I tried to post my notes from your visit to St. Georges, but alas, they were very lacking.

I believe they are words that people need so desparately to hear and understand.

Thanks,
