My Dear Friends,

It's been more than 4 months since I've posted here. I've changed jobs and that's all I can think about at this time.
I've been overcome with anxiety and stress everyday especially when I leave in the morning. I give my daughter Ava a kiss as she sleeps and I feel like I'm a soldier going off to battle.
I ask you to please remember me in your prayers. I have found that I am much closer to God now and I need Him more than ever for courage and confidence.

I also ask you to pray for our 10 month old son, Andrew who will be Baptized in the GO Church this Sunday. That that Holy Spirit continues to fill Andrew with Grace so that he may truly live the gospel of Christ.

In Christ,

Brad, Jackie, Ava and Andrew.

You have given us grace at this time to offer You a common prayer together - though over a telephone wire - and have promised that when two or three are gathered together in Your name, that You will grant their requests; fulfill, Lord, the prayers of Your servants, heal the depression and anxiety which strikes so many of your children, make this time profitable for their welfare, grant the knowledge of Your truth in this world and life everlasting in the world to come. Amen.

Blessings to you and your family as your son, Andrew, receives Baptism, and that you will successfully overcome your stress/anxiety.
I understand your situation to some extent, as I begin a job in a new locale soon.

May the Lord God grant his newly enlightened servant Andrew every blessing, peace health and happiness for many many years!

May the Lord God, good physician of souls and bodies, help and support you in every difficulty, and guide your footsteps in the ways of peace.

My Dear Friends,

Thank you for your prayers. It's been almost 5 months since I've posted on here. I've had one of the most stressful times this past summer. I felt myself going into a hole where all I wanted to do was sleep. I couldn't even read my children bedtime books without thinking about work.
Thankfully in September things got better with my job and I've learned to deal with the stress of job demands and family commitments. I'm much happier and emotionally stronger now.
Our son Andrew was baptized in the Greek Orthodox Church back in July. It was a beautiful day. We had a newly ordained priest conduct the ceremony. Given the fact that neither Jackie nor I understand or speak Greek, he performed most of the ceremony in English.

Andrew was incredible. He never shed a tear after the triple immersion. As the priest lifted him up and called out his name "Andreas Ioannis", Andrew started kicking his legs like a frog, he wanted to go in the water. When Andrew was taken out and handed to the Godfather, he leaned over to try and get back into the water.

I've attached a link to some of the pictures from the big day.

Dear Brad,

We have missed you around here! God bless all of you. Your children are beautiful, and you are a beautiful family!

Na sas zisoun!
(since I always complain about posters not translating, this is a 'blessing/wish' given to parents for their children meaning 'may they live long')

In Christ,
Alice

Prayers for Andrew and his family .

Looking at the pictures - I have memories of you posting about Ava's Baptism too.
