The Service of the Supplicatory Canon to the Mother of God, also called the Office or Consolation, Paraklesis or Paraklis, is used in any time of need, and in particular is celebrated by tradition on the days of the Dormition Fast (August 1-14).
This service is now available in booklet form, with complete text (as given in the Ruthenian Časoslov) and using the traditional prostopinije melodies. This 39-page booklet can be downloaded in
