Here is a fascinating site about the devotion to St. Charbel in Russia. http://sharbel.lipetsk.ru/en.html
The miracles reported are astounding! Blessings!

Dear Monk Silouan,

It gives one an insight into the secular minds of the Russians. A secularism that came about through so many years of communism, and probably even before that, causing the communist revolution. I say this because they seem to try to explain everything scientifically.

Many of the recipients of the miracles, have made a serious mistake. A miracle is performed not only for the cure, but more so for the conversion of souls. It should have been stated to the doctors that whatever cure occurred, was by the Saint, regardless of whether they believed it or not.

It seems our Lord is performing many miracles. Not only to bring people closer to Him, but in a way to show that miracles can occur, not only in one Church, but also in another. The Maronites seem to be God's special tool in this respect. It's that part of the world that want's unity between the Church's, and hopefully that will extend to Russia.

Thank you for posting the article.

God Bless,

Zenopvia
