This morning from Toronto over 700 youth from 9 countries set out to celebrate the 95th anniv of Plast , 50th anniv of first Ukrainian Scout Jamboree in North America and 100 years of world scouting. They will be travelling to northern Ontarion to camp ,canoe and kayak for the next 2 weeks. 17 buses of excited teenagers and their handlers waved to anxious and tired parents ( the campers and parents slept very little last night). I humbly ask that you remember our children in your prayers over the next 2 weeks, that they may return safe and sound with only happy memories and newly forged friendships. Divine Liturgy of Thanksgiving will be held on August 19 at Plastova Sich -Grafton Ontario by both the Ukrainian Catholic and Ukrainan Orthodox clergy to close this Jamboree.

As our youngest son took part in high adventure in Scouting, portaging and canoeing 60+ miles across the upper Great Lakes and Canada, I can tell you they will come back changed. Our son said he met a moose up close and personal, once was enough for him.  Glory to God that these young boys have this opportunity. May it be a true blessing for them and their leaders. Keep the parents at peace, as the boys last thoughts right now are of home. They are just trying to get through it all and take it all in, enjoying every moment of this momumental adventure. God bless them!

My in-laws are travelling out to join in this event this weekend and to meet a relative from Australia who is participating and whom they've never seen before.

With temperatures around the 40C mark here and plenty of humidity I wish I was with the good Plastinij in northern Ontario myself...

Thank you for your prayers and best wishes. As of today all is well across the province. My daughter and the rest of the Plastuny are travelling today for Ottawa for 2 days. My husband and I leave tomorrow to and will be volunteering at the events scheduled for the weekend.
