The power of the Latin Mass is truly amazing. Yesterday I was at St John Cantius in Chicago for the Tridentine Mass, and the continued growth there is unbelievable. The priesthood is supposedly dying out, yet at SJC, 6 men have been ordained since 2000, and 2 more will be ordained next year. The Society currently has 14 brothers, and that number will increase next year when an additional building is obtained. Several Catholic churches have taken out there confessionals because no one goes anymore, but when I walked into church yesterday. Five priests were hearing confession, each with a line of about 15 people.

That is very good to hear, very encouraging.

The Society has a nice website (in process of construction) dedicated to the TLM. I'm waiting to see what they are able to place online under the topic: "Spirituality of the Tridentine Mass". Perhaps some old favorites.

Michael,

Yes, St. Francis' is an exclusively TLM parish, and a great blessing to the Archdiocese!

Alexis,

Glad to hear it. I'll bet the priests are getting lots of calls from their brethren about now!

Hm, what is curious though, is that I can't find this program schedule on EWTN's Television Broadcast Schedule on its website.

However, I couldn't imagine that the FSSP and lots of other sources would be something out like this (and the whole event seems pretty concrete already) without it being a fact.

Maybe I didn't look in the right place?
