He expressed that his Church is going through a period of reorganization as it's been a Major Archiepiscopal Church for only two years, that they are in close collaboration with the Prefecture of the Oriental Churches to make things work well.
When asked about the probable appointment of two more Bishops, Archbishop Lucian answered:
"Surely our Church is in need of new bishops. One bishop in the curia of the Major Archbishopric, to reside in Blaj, under the direct authority of the Major Archbishop is necessary. I have started to take mesures in order to restore the building for the administration of the Major Archbishophric. In a similar way, an auxiliary to the Metropolitan of Blaj, with residence in Bucharest, as it was in 1948, is also very necessary."
Regarding the probable canonization of the Martyr-Bishops, he said:
"The process of canonization is usualy long. The process of canonization of the Greek Catholic Bishops who died in the Communist prisson has been done. We can somehow say the proccess is in its final stage. We wait for the day when solemnly, Holy Father Benedict will raise to the altars these humble servants of God, bishops Iuliu cardinal Hossu, Valeriu Traian Frentiu, Ioan Balan, Alexandru Rusu, Ioan Suciu, Vasile Aftenie si Tit Liviu Chinezu. It is a day reserved in the calendar of the good God, a day that must be awaited by prayer, a day we must wait with hope and happiness."
