Byzantine and Roman Catholic clergy, seminarians, and laity will once again gather on November 30, the Feast of St. Andrew the First-Called. to celebrate the Divine Liturgy of the Byzantine (Ruthenian) Church. The Liturgy will begin at 4 p.m. with responses being lead by the Seminarian Choir. "The Mount" is located just off of Route 15 in Emmitsburg, Md., between Gettysburg, Pa., and Frederick, Md., Seminary Website [msmary.edu].

For many of the Roman Catholic Seminarians this is their first exposure to the liturgy of the Byzantine Church. Fr. Lee Gross, Dean of Seminarians, has bi-ritual faculties and serves the Divine Liturgy on a weekly basis at Epiphany of Our Lord-Montgomery County (Maryland) Mission in Gaithersburg. He will be joined by Fr. John G. Basarab and deacons from Epiphany of Our Lord Church in Annandale, Va. Other area Byzantine clergy and Roman Catholic clergy from the Seminary will also participate.

Everyone is invited.

Slava Isusu Khrystu!

This is wonderful news that Latin Rite seminarians will be exposed to the greatness and richness of the Byzantine Catholic Church. I do hope that all of them will open to the beauty and reverence of the Divine Liturgy. It really is the Liturgy of Heaven.

May we be worthy to welcome the King of All invisibly escorted by angels!

Slava Isusu Khrystu!
