Isn't it nice to see the entire Otpust schedule, including lists that show who the celebrant will be, cantor, etc. for each service!

I agree--it's nice to know the celebrants and cantors and all those involved in any way. Especially for those of us who aren't able to get there. Now if they'd only video or record some of the services...sigh

The question remains, will the Ruthenian Byzantine Catholic Archeparchy promulgate the new translation and new music starting with this year's Mt. Macrina Otpust? Cantors from several parishes of the Archeparchy around Pittsburgh and parishioners would like to know, yes or no??

If you go, I am sure you will find out. Somehow I get a picture of you carrying around a boombox and playing full volume the "old music" if you don't like any of the new music wink
And to boost your ego wink thank you for the schedule
Pyrohy-who is merely teasing Ung---hopefully he doesn't find me alone in the parking lot in uniontown wink

I think you are going to be impressed with the music. If you remember some posts over at the Kliros, Pittsburgh already uses the music, and even so it is meant to accent the English in the proper way. So, if I am not mistaken you will be able to sing a Slavonic hymn or tropar or what not in the original Slavonic melody but in English and it will sound right. There isn't anything wrong with that!! I hope I made sense.
