Actually, my info from the Ellis Island site says my Grandfather arrived July 8, 1908. On his fraternal lodge records, it says Nov. 1908. I think the Ellis Island dates are probably more reliable.

Perhaps he traveled more than once?

I have found more than one record for my great-grandmother and they are both definitely her. I found it odd at fist because I didn't really think that was an option, but I guess really why not if they had the money to do so. It looks like my great-grandmother Sofia traveled back & forth with the children between America and Europe more than once - presumably to visit Janos who would have come over first to get a job and set up a residence.
