Dear Administrator,
Thank you for your kindness in defending me.
I think, though, that I've managed to make some real enemies here who will always take what I have to say the wrong way, notwithstanding repeated clarifications, apologies etc. Just the ending to a post that says "Alex" is enough for them to think the worst of me. Perhaps it's justified - I don't know.
But I think the Church should make it a rule never to ordain anyone who thinks fun, humour and even mischief to be unbecoming a Christian. The Church already refuses to canonize such as saints.
Alex

Dear Alex,
For the record, I understand that you are responding to Nik's perceived or actual provocation (for the record Nik could have been just citing the article's source. We have several threads linked to byzcath threads). However, I believe that you have issues with Nik do to his personal decision going from a Ukrainian Church to a Russian Church. This contributes much, I believe, to the way you respond at the drop of a pin whenever Nik posts anything referencing my board. IN MY OPINION it seems that Nik rejecting the Ukrainian Catholics and Nik switching to my board are very connected. You love both, so you get upset. Am I totally off base here?
I understand also your loyalty to this board. As I frequently state every time this issue comes up, I love this board too and that's why I post every day here!
Since you requested, Alex, a formal statement, here I give it: "My board is not considered a place only for Orthodox, and this board is not considered only a place for Byzantine Catholics."
Dear Administrator,
I don't think Alex is being treated unfairly: he chose to insert himself in the argument. Now he apologized for his clone remark and all is well. I certainly forgive him. Everyone says things in a bad way sometimes. I know I have been, uh, in trouble here for saying things the wrong way before, especially when I used to argue with our now-departed-this-board friend K.
I did speak to Nik about crossposting in a provacative manner.
In Christ,
anastasios

May I suggest that this thread be closed and another started afresh without aggressive cross-posting and free-for-all pejorative tossing?

Anastasios,
Thank you for your post. We will have to agree to disagree. While it is certainly possible that Nik could have be just citing the articles source for the purposes of conversation it is highly unlikely given his style of posting. I thank you for having spoken to him about this.
Please allow me to apologize once again for my failure to create a welcome home for Orthodox Christians. I wish you every success where I have failed.
Lets close this thread. Please feel free to start new, separate threads on the topics discussed so far (either Cardinal Dulles or the failures of the Fourm).
