I humbly ask your prayers for my Grandmother, Eileen. She passed away on Monday-Tuesday at 1:00 a.m. from complications due to lung cancer.

I thank all who responded to my previous post, and all who will respond to this post. I offer my sincere graditude now, as I likley will not be able to respond to your posts.

My grandma is the only Catholic left in my family. All of her children left the faith, and encouraged her to do the same. I believe her devotion to the rosary helped save her faith and is now helping her soul in purgatory. While I am grieved at her loss, I am also hopeful that she will be granted a favorable judgment because of her devotion to the Holy Rosary and for persevering in the Faith. As I have prayed for her and have spiritually adopted her, to intercede on her behalf (though I a sinner do not presume to be able to worthily intercede for her), it now brings me comfort to know that she may be praying for me now, and for the conversion of the rest of my family.

I know this is long winded, and I beg your forgiveness. Your continued prayers are greatly appreciated, as I know none of her children will be praying for or assisting her soul from henceforth.

Humbly, respectfully, and gratefully,
Mary

Dear Mary,

May our Lord have mercy on the soul of His servant, Eileen, forgiving her all her sins ('for no man lives and sinneth not, only you Lord are without sin') and bringing her into His Kingdom...

Eternal Memory!

What a blessing for a grandmother to have one such as you, Mary, to be earnestly praying for her soul. May God bless you, Mary.

Memory Eternal. Blessed repose. I am sorry to hear about the repose of your Grandmother. I pray for you and your family for comfort and that the Lord will help guide you and your family through your mourning. Also for your Grandmother, I will pray for her. Grandmothers are special.

Lord of the Powers be with us, for in times of distress we have no other help but You.
Lord of the Powers, have mercy on Mary.

Christ our eternal King and God, You have destroyed death and the devil by Your Cross and have restored man to life by Your Resurrection; give rest, Lord, to the soul of Your servant Eileen who has fallen asleep, in Your Kingdom, where there is no pain, sorrow or suffering. In Your goodness and love for all men, pardon all the sins she has committed in thought word or deed, for there is no man or woman who lives and sins not, You only are without sin.

For You are the Resurrection, the Life, and Repose of Your servant Eileen, departed this life, O Christ our God; and to You do we send up glory with Your Eternal Father and Your All-holy, Good and Life-creating Spirit; both now and forever and to the ages of ages. Amen
