Saint Nicholas II Chrysoberges, Patriarch of Constantinople 983-996

Anyone have an icon image of this venerable soul, our father among the saints Saint Nicholas II? His feast was today... Can't find anything online though...

Saint Theophano is a little elusive as well!

Dear A Simple Sinner,

I am sorry, but I have never seen one, but if you find either one, it would be great if you could post it. There are a number of icon images I am presently searching for, but to date I have not been able to locate.

The relics of St. Theophano are at the Patriarchal Cathedral of St. George in the Phanar. I took a photo of her relics and icon when I visited in July. I will try and upload it to the Photo Gallery in the next couple days.

Dave, bless your soul. Thank you.

Father Anthony, dare I suggest maybe we start a thread entitled "Icon Images We Are Looking For"?

Share with us if you like what you are looking for, and I will make an effort to keep an eye out for those subjects as well.

I surf through some Russian, Ukrainian and Italian language sites and from time to time and amazed at the images I find which would not come up in a google-hunt. Maybe the folks that look at Greek and Russian websites more often would have better luck.

In fact, www.days.pravoslavie.ru [days.pravoslavie.ru] has a plethora of such iconic images for every day of the year!

Which is great except that with my limited exposure to Cyrillic, it would take me an hour to decipher and sound out a name.
