1) Come to the Stable (Loretta Young & Celeste Holm) 2) The Bishop's Wife (Loretta Young, David Niven & Cary Grant) 3) Miracle on 34th Street (Maureen O'Hara, Natalie Wood & Edmund Gwenn) 4) Christmas in Connecticut (Barbara Stanwyck & Dennis Morgan) 5) The Bells of St Mary's (Ingrid Bergman & Bing Crosby) 6) White Christmas (Bing Crosby, Danny Kaye, Rosemary Clooney & Vera Ellen) 7) It's a Wonderful Life (Jimmy Stewart, Donna Reed & Lionel Barrymore)
They all reflect a bygone innocence without sappy sentimentality. They just don't make 'em like that anymore!

"It's a Wonderful Life" is my favorite, by far. That said, "National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation" is my second favorite. "Mele Kalikimaka is a thing to say, on a bright Hawaiian Christmas Day . . . " -- John
