That would be great if you could also steer me to someone 'here' from whom I could get prayer ropes....I'd like to get them for my children.

The folks at the Convent of St. Elizabeth the Grand Duchess of Russia have some beautiful prayer ropes. I have bought several from them and the quality is excellent.

I've found this site to be absolutely wonderful, they have some great stuff. The Christmas ornaments are beautiful, especially the metal ones of the onion domed church and the Slovakian Church as well as the metal icons. The prayer ropes are also called "chotki."
