And stir it with a whisp. Let your milk/water warm slightly - I use half milk & water - as you pour in the wheat, stir it constantly then and until it is done. Kind of a pain, but well worth it

Oh yes, Coco Wheats! Something else that's good is Bob's Red Mill hot cereal.....we like the 10-grain. The package says it takes 10 minutes to cook but it never takes that long. With real butter and brown sugar, what a treat! (And the little steaming bowl follows you around all day long....does anyone else remember that commercial?)

Cocoa Wheat, I remember it. I think I had it in first grade before the family thing went sour.

I like Cream of Wheat, though I can't seem to make it without producing a lumpy texture. Irenaeus: The trick with Cream of Wheat is in the measuring. While you can make many cereals with more or less precision, I've found that Cream of Wheat and Cream of Rice require the kind of precise measuring that baking does. There's also the way in which you combine the cereal with the water. I've found that a slow, constant pour together with a continuous stir makes perfectly smooth product. By comparison, oatmeal can be thinned after it's poured into the bowl with a little more hot water or thickened by putting it into the microwave for 30 second intervals. BOB Thanks, BOB, I'll keep that in mind. Bitter cold here in Connecticut the last two days - good Cream of Wheat weather. Irenaeus

(One of the more prominent funeral directors that my family knew was a hard core alcholic.) After this recipe, espcially the accompanying ingredient, I've got to know--were you once part of the fraternity? BOB
