From the Sun Courier, suburban Cleveland:

Joseph A. Loya, 89, of Independence, Ohio, died Dec. 14.

Mr. Loya was a retired teacher.

He was the husband of Ann (nee New); father of Rev. John F., Rev. Joseph A., Charles (Donna), Teresa Holupka (Frank Jr.); grandfather of three; great grandfather of one; and brother of eight all deceased.

Services were held at St. Joseph Byzantine Catholic Church with interment at St. Lawrence Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Catholic Relief Services, P.O. Box 17090, Baltimore, MD 21203-7090. Vodrazka Funeral Home of Independence handled the arrangements.

May God grant His departed servant, +Joseph, blessed repose and eternal memory.

I believe his father was the Rev. John Loya who served the Yonkers NY and Windber PA parishes of the Ruthenian Exarchate, which toady is the Ruthenian Metropolia.
